Definition: Time – the continuum of experience in which events pass from the future through the present to the past.

We all act as though in this life we have an infinite amount of time but that’s not true. It’s easy to put off things until tomorrow but it’s not always the wisest choice to make. Procrastination is a choice too.

We can’t change the past – that’s over. However, we can change the present and the future by deciding to take action. Money management can be done in whatever time you decide to give it. If you decide to give to give it x hours a month that fine and if you decide a few minutes a day that’s fine too. It's a wealth secret that the important thing is to use your time wisely and take action.

You can prioritise what you need to do. Do the urgent things first and they work out how you can stop them from becoming urgent in the first place.

Sometimes it feels like there is never enough time to get everything done and I can get stressed out about it. However I’ve also found that the things that are important to me, the things that I commit to always get done. That’s not a coincidence since as I commit to something it becomes a priority and since it’s a priority I set aside time for it.

So make a commitment to set aside time for the things that are important to you. Ensure you include yourself in that too - time for your health and well being, for your loved ones and time for your personal finance education.

If you think that money management is not a priority for you then make sure that the other priorities on your list don’t rely on money management. If you find that your other priorities do rely on your money management being in place then make that a higher priority in the short term and then as the money management becomes easier and habitual it will move lower down on the list.
