Rick Otton Massive Passive Pack and Rick Otton Boot Camp - October 2010

Now I could tell you of our tales of woe of getting from Melbourne to the boot camp which included car parking companies changing address without telling us, airport transport buses breaking down and missing flights.... However I think you’ll be more interested in the actual boot camp itself.

The boot camp is 3 days long, Friday, Saturday and Sunday with Rick Otton as the main presenter. He is controlled by an MC for the weekend and there are other speakers such as a solicitor and previous successful students of his courses.

We had bought a deal with the Massive Passive Pack and this Boot Camp some months ago. The Massive Passive pack includes manuals, legal documents, audio CD’s, transcripts of the audio CD’s and DVDs. I actually couldn’t believe the amount of information there and it does take a while to go through and digest. We tend to play the audio CD’s in the background sometimes so that the info continues to sink in.

I realised on the boot camp that others had bought the boot camp as a stand-alone package so this was very new to them. I think that because people had bought the Boot Camp in different ways Rick Otton started from first principles and then moved on to the more complicated stuff which was a good way to do it.

As most of you will know patience is not one of my virtues but I had to stay patient while we learnt strategies that can’t be done in South Australia. One particular strategy can be done everywhere else in Australia apart from where we live – South Australia. Other strategies have to be amended for South Australia but there are others that can be done anywhere in Australia.

I thought that the strategies were well presented and there was time for discussion on the tables and for question and answer sessions. Since we’d already been working through the Massive Passive pack and were already negotiating on deals, going over the strategies was great but the most important part for me personally was meeting successful students. I don’t know how you are when you’re learning new stuff but I can feel out of my depth. I like to know what I’m doing and when you’re learning something new that’s not always the case. Speaking to successful students it was reassuring to know that they had felt exactly the same way as I do now. The students were around most of the weekend and they were from all walks of life and happy to answer questions.

In one session there is a panel of successful students who answer questions and it was amazing how different their backgrounds were and how much they had grown personally during this journey.

As well as learning new strategies you get to take away a manual full of documentation that was added to throughout the weekend. I thought that this was a good way of doing it since we couldn’t read it before hand and get ahead of ourselves.

Do I think the boot camp was worth it? Definitely. It came as part of a deal with the Massive Passive pack and with that you also get live monthly support calls too which are recorded so that you can listen to them again and again (if needed).

I’ve kept in touch with several people that I met at the Boot Camp and some are already negotiating on property deals. We know that no money down property deals can be done since we’ve done them in the UK, we just haven’t found the right way of doing them here. Now we think that we have!

Unfortunately a lot of people that go on courses never do anything with the information and you’re one of those people then don’t waste your money on these courses. However, if like us you want to find another way of making residual (passive) income then it’s worth checking these courses out.
